The soft sound of padfalls could be heard approaching and the figure of Satin, Alphena of the Four Roses, stepped out of the forest and towards the river which was calm and still.
Feeling strangely peacefull, Satin inhaled the night air before leaning over the bank and lapping up the cool liquid with her pink tounge.

Large paws were placed suprisingly quietly as Mugwump moved slowly, carefully through the forest, determined to get this task right. He stopped as his nares flared to inhale the scent of Satin, and excitement filled him, almost causing him howl and leap forwards happily, but he just managed to restrain himself. Mugwump must do good. He thought sternly, nodding his huge crania.
So, he continued to pick his way forwards, following his leathery nares in the direction of the river, careful not to brush against any foliage. Viscose had told him earlier, when he had thought up his plot, that he must cover his tracks, and he had informed him on how to do this. This memory had come back to Mugwump through sheer desperation to do good.
"Nearly there..." Mugwump mumbled softly, his voice low and stupid, tense with concentration. He managed to squeeze between two bushes without touching either, and then he was at the river.
A few feet to his right, Satin was stooped drinking, and Mugwump's eyes widened as he gazed at her. He had not seen a female wolf in at least two years, and he had all but forgotten what they looked like. Dull black eyes absorbed Satin's delicate movements, and Mugwump almost turned around and crashed back into the foliage, unwilling to harm the beautiful creature.
Mugump must do good! He reminded himself, and padded forwards, swallowing hard.
"Mugwump sorry." He mumbled, then leapt at Satin, landing squarley on top of her...
((ooc: Bah! I'm gonna have to powerplay here! I wanna do this all in one post!!!))
Feeling Satin crumple beneath his massive weight, Mugwump slithered off of her and cocked his head, trying to remember how else he should cover his tracks.
Water! He suddenly remembered, turning and chuckling dimly at the river. He jumped into it with a splash, roling over once in the shallows, washing off most of his scent. Then, he padded to the bank and, hesitantly, he nudged Satin into the shallows, watching as the water flowed over her.
Mugwump's massive jaws then descended towards the alphess, and clamped firmly around her scruff. Mugwump lifted her cleanly off her feet, like a mother would lift her cub, and turned, Satin's body - dwarfed in comparison to his own - hanging limply from his jaws.
Then, the brute set off, careful to be light on his paws - as he had been on the way there - so that he didn't leave foot steps behind. Soon, he was gone, leaving not a clue as to what had happened at the river except for a trail of water, which soon evaporated courtesy of the spring heat...
