bic: The bitter winds that had been stroking Kestrel's fur disapeared as she stepped crookedly into the mouth of one of the dens. She stood impatiently for a moment, her tail twitching, as her eyes grew used to the dark. Then, she limped forwards, heading to the back of the small cave.

Here, she turned and flopped into a lying position, her chocolate eyes shining in the gloom as she stared towards the entrance, waiting for Drybone to follow.

The sharp Spring winds kissed the Sull brute's auds, making him pin them back slightly to keep them out of the breeze. Stupid wind.. He thought as it roared in his ears.

Dry was nervous. Very nervous. Alpha Advisor? Was he enough to help Satin with being alpha? Did his opinion really matter?

Dry shook his thick ruff, blinking hard. He hoped so.

Dry gained the slope and stood at the mouth of the cave, testing the air for scents- scents of danger, scents of friend, any scent really. But all he got was clean, fresh air of the surrounding.

Satified, Dry moved into the cave and plopped heavily down beside Kess. He squinted at her and stuck his tongue out.

The fiery timber wolf had slipped into a restful doze. She hadn't slept very well since her paw had been broken, the pain bothering her, and, although she would never admit it, she was growing quite weary. With her paw now almost healed, it was easier for her to relax, and her body took full advantage of this.

The sound of pawsteps echoed, warped and varying in volume, in her mind, and she found herself in a strange state where she was neither dreaming nor consious.

Then, Drybone lay beside her, and she awoke fully. Lifting her grey and beige head, Kestrel stifled a yawn and turned to glare at her mate.

"You took your time, mutt," The female snapped, narrowing her chocolate eyes, tone accusatory.
